Doors of Venice

I could not resist the doors of Venice. They beckoned to me each time I walked by one.

It is prestigious in the Venetian community to have a door that opens on the canal. Of course, those doors take the most weather and water damage but they have great character.

There were so many beautiful doors with so many different personalities.
I loved the ornate ones.
I loved the ones surrounded by flowers.
I loved the old and worn ones.
I loved the ones framed by colored poles.
I loved the new crisp ones.
I loved the colored ones.
I loved the wooden ones.
I loved them all.
